Last year, hedge fund titan David Tepper famously bought a $43.5 million oceanfront mansion in Sagaponack--and promptly tore it down so he could build one twice the size.
Well, we're pleased to report that construction on Tepper's new abode appears to be humming along.
A new foundation has been poured, and the place looks like it will be at least twice the size of the knockdown for which Tepper paid a record price.
Our friend Cully, an aerial photographer, recently swung by in his helicopter and snapped these stunning photos of the ongoing construction at the Tepper residence. He also sent along some photos from last summer.

For reference, here's what the place looked like in July, about a month after Tepper tore the original mansion down:
And again in August. We can't imagine his neighbors will be too pleased as construction continues throughout the summer.
Of course, the home he tore down was nothing to complain about. But it really does look like it was about half the size of the monstrosity that's about to take its place:
